We've had the flu. And by flu - I don't mean the coughing, aching, runny nose, headache, can't sleep, piggy flu. I mean the gut wrenching, fever/chill inducing, wipe-you-out stomach flu. It started with Joseph a week ago, followed by Mama on Sunday night and rounded out by Daddy on Tuesday night. We progressed from ice chips to peppermint tea to toast and are finally all able to eat. I had spent last Thursday scouring the house and had finished up just as Joseph woke up from his nap and was violently ill. This Thursday was spent much the same way - except - add in 10 loads of laundry. I'm just thankful that we got it now and not right after Baby Jacob is born. yikes.
I did get this great picture this week though. This was sometime after Joseph started feeling better and before I felt like crap. I think they were watching the "lympics" - which for Joseph is ranking right up there with American Idol - especially when people fall down while skiing.

Baby Jacob update
I went to the Dr. for my 34 week appointment yesterday morning. Once again everything looked great for baby Jacob. The only thing that wasn't great was that I had the stomach flu and had lost 6 pounds since my last visit. We were able to schedule the c-section at this visit and, unless he decides to arrive earlier, Jacob will be sharing a March 30th birthday with his Aunt Aftin. The Dr. also wanted me to come back in for an ultrasound to check his growth. I went this morning for that appointment. Jacob is weighing in at 5 lbs. 11 oz. and is measuring about a week and a half big. Not surprising since Joseph was 9 lb. 15 oz. He also resembles his big brother with his chubby cheeks and hair. Guess we'll get to see the real thing in 5 weeks, but for now here is the 4-D image I got today.
