Strawberries!

As I mentioned in a previous post - I went strawberry picking on Monday.  The berries were plentiful and I had two buckets filled up in no time.  

 Yesterday I tackled the cleaning, capping and processing.

 Here is part of the bounty - 2 batches of jam and 2 quarts of puree for future recipes.  All going in the freezer. I made an additional batch of jam today. We also have a big bowl of berries ready for shortcake and a bowl of berries for snacks in the fridge.

 I made a batch of strawberry muffins using this recipe.  Most of these went in the freezer as well.

I can't wait until the blueberries and blackberries are ready!
