Old Mill

This morning I met my friend Jenny at Old Mill in North Little Rock. Old Mill was featured in the opening scene of "Gone With the Wind" and is the only structure still standing from that movie. Jenny has a child photography business and took pictures of the boys this morning. I am sooo looking forward to seeing the finished product. In the meantime, here are some pictures of Old Mill.

On the menu

So I didn't post our menu last week. I made one . . . and it got switched around a bit as we went. This happens occasionally as we find that we have more leftovers than expected from one or more meals and end up having a leftover night in the middle somewhere. Here is the menu for this week:

Tuesday:
Baked BBQ Chicken
Pesto Risotto
Strawberry Shortcake

Wednesday:
Tomato Cream Pasta (for Christopher & Joseph. I have Bible Study.)

Thursday:
Baked Tilapia
Green Beans
Roasted Red Potatoes with Rosemary

Friday:
Chicken Parmesan Burgers
Potato Salad

Saturday:
lunch - leftovers
dinner - home made pizza

Sunday:
lunch - enchiladas
dinner - cook-out with Small group (we are taking Cherry Berry on a Cloud)

Monday:
Garden Penne Pasta with tomato/meat sauce
salad

coupons

So I've been trying to do better about clipping coupons to use at the grocery store. In addition to the actual paper coupons, I've found several sites that will allow me to download the coupon directly to my Kroger card. Because I need to have proof of my savings, I've created a spreadsheet to track how much I spend at the grocery store each week and how much I saved at each visit. Then I can total my savings each month/year. Here are a few of my favorite coupons sites and blogs:

Red Plum
Cellfire

smiling baby

Joseph's school pictures

He did such a good job smiling and Red George didn't show up in any of them!

for comparison

At 2 months Joseph was:
24.5 inches long (95%)
14 pounds 10 ounces (97%)

So Jacob is a little smaller at this stage. However, considering he was in the 50th percentile at 1 month and moved up to the +75th percentile at 2 months. . . . maybe he'll be caught up at his 4-month check-up.

the stats

This baby is growing! Christopher & I had both remarked that baby Jacob had really begun to chunk up. We found out just how much this morning at his 2-month appointment.

weight: 13 lbs. 2.59 oz
height: 23.62 inches

both of these put him slightly over the 75th percentile.
