Weekend Antics

Saturday started off with family pics and D's first birthday pics in a beautiful park with a covered bridge.
Denbigh was soooo tired for her birthday pics but was a trooper.  She fell asleep in the car before we . . . .
. . . got to the Funland on the other side of the park for our friend Micah's birthday party. The boys had so much fun riding the rides with each other and their friends.

Across the street from Funland is a new space shuttle jungle gym.  The boys LOVED this (of course) and we will have to go back before we move.

Saturday evening was our first free evening in over a week and we were so excited to just relax at home and watch a movie together.
Sunday morning I tried to get my weekly pic of the kids dressed for church but they were "pictured" out.
Sunday afternoon was also a relaxing time at home with naps and movie watching and Daddy & Mama even got a date night!

Summer Vacation - Day 10

Friday morning we started off with Mickey Mouse waffles and egg & sausage burritos.
Then we met some friends for bowling.

The kids didn't want to leave each other so the Mamas gave in to lunch at Larry's Pizza.

The highlight of Joseph's day was finally picking the winning briefcase on Deal or No Deal and getting 200 tickets.
Then it was time to head home for naps.
That evening we went to a Birthday/Pool Party for Daddy's boss. The boys swam until their little lips were blue and then we made them dry off and eat some dinner before taking them home for showers and bed.

And this is what Mama worked on while the kiddos were napping . . . a smash cake for a certain little lady's 1-year-old pics.

Summer Vacation - Day 9

Thursday was a very busy day.
The boys helped with chores in the morning and we were able to get their room cleaned up and purge their bathroom and the linen closet.
They also helped entertain their sister with a rousing game of "throw and catch the paci."

After lunch Joseph's 1st grade teacher came over for a sewing lesson and the boys enjoyed entertaining her too.  This was followed by piano lessons for Joseph and then it was time to eat dinner and get ready for the last night of VBS. The hold a small program for the parents at the end of the last night and, when we arrived, Jacob was outside with his class enjoying a popsicle from the ice cream truck.
Inside Joseph and his class were showing off their hula hoop skills.

 The boys enjoyed dancing "because I'm happy. . . . "

. . . and then sang along with their theme song.

Miss Laura is the Children's Minister as this church and has loved our kids well through various Bible Schools and Parents Night Out.  We will miss her so much.

Summer Vacation - Day 8

June 25 - 8th day of summer vacation - also - only 6 months until Christmas!!!  Have you started your shopping?!

We made some Christmas candy treats in the morning to celebrate.  Besides having yummy treats to eat, we were able to clean some opened candy packages out of the pantry before the move.

The boys had fun helping and enjoyed their lunch.
After lunch we ran a quick errand and then had some play time at a friend's house before naps and Bible School.
