Happy Valentine's Day

On Monday I realized we had one day to create and turn in Joseph's Valentine cards.  The last thing I felt like doing (after getting home from the airport at 2 am) was running out for supplies so we made do with what we had.  Joseph did a great job filling out the names on the cards.  At least this year we did not have to decorate a box!

This little valentine woke up early - as per usual.  I'm pretty sure he has a stash of sugar hidden somewhere in his room because he comes downstairs at full speed.
This valentine takes a little longer to wake/warm up.
Mama's stash of Valentine goodness.  :)

We enjoyed Joseph's party at school in the afternoon.

 Sooooooo much sugar.
And Jacob brought home this sweet craft for us.
The loot - which has since been sorted and (partially) discarded.
In the evening the boys enjoyed a pizza date with their friends Henry & George. This was followed by a viewing of "Gnomeo & Juliet."
Once their friends left and our boys were in bed we enjoyed a lovely quiet dinner. Christopher grilled steaks and I prepared green beans with mushroom gravy and baked sweet potatoes.  I also made a cheesecake for dessert which we were too full to touch.

Baby June

Last week I became an auntie again to sweet baby June-bug.  And because I have an awesome husband, I was able to fly to see her when she was a day old.  She is such a beautiful baby and we had a lot of fun taking naps together.

I also got to see a couple other cuties while I was there.

It was so hard to leave this little angel and I a can't wait to see her in again in a few weeks.
You can see June-bug's professional photos here.

In the meantime - Super Daddy held down the fort at home.  He managed school/work schedules, packing lunches, wrangling crazy boys and when I got home the dishes and laundry were done, house was spotless and there were clean sheets on the bed.  I was also met at the airport with roses and homemade valentines from the little guys.  I'm one blessed mama.
