Does he just love blue?

Because we've moved on from the Uno cards . . . to ABCs. Grandma & Grandpa gave him an ABC puzzle this past weekend and he takes all the blue pieces out and plays with them. The rest stay put.

And notice how all the blue refrigerator magnets are missing at the top and somehow grouped together nicely at the bottom . . .

Play date with friends

We met up with Melanie & Samuel, Alecia & Micah & Anna Karis, Kate & Amelia, Gibson & Laurel and Hannah & Kennedy & Ellison at Brittlebank Park.

Samuel and his tennis ball. It was a coveted object by Joseph.

It was great to have some "mom chat" time when I wasn't following my little explorer around stairs, slides, sandboxes and other fun playground attractions. Special thanks to Alecia for providing yummy banana bread of which Joseph ate at least half. Poor starving little guy.

Brilliant or just plain weird. . . .

Joseph's latest favorite thing to play with = Uno cards. But only the blue ones. He sorts through all the cards and fans the blue ones out in his hand and the rest get discarded onto the floor.

I have NO idea where he learned this. . .

talking on the phone . . . drinking his morning coffee. Yep - don't have a clue where he might have picked this up.

Sunshine

I like to call Joseph "sunshine" . . . . (as in Ronnie "Sunshine" Bass from "Remember the Titans") . . . it's the hair really. . . . . or maybe the cute grin. Anyway - last night as I was saying "sunnnshiiiiine" . .. "sunnnnshiiiiine" . . . Joseph started repeating "sunshiii" . . . "sunshiiii." He's just too much. Between that and how he smiles and waves and says "hi" when I open the car door to get him out. . . it's about all I can do not to take a huge bite of out him.

yoga position #429

This "finally capturing Joseph's favorite suspended position" session quickly turned into a "Joseph hamming it up for the camera" session.

Inside Joke

Something has been tickling Joseph's funny bone for the past couple of days. He'll just break into a fit of giggles at the most random times. I put him down for his nap almost 45 minutes ago. He's been singing, talking and giggling ever since. I love that crazy, cute, adorable, funny kid. . .

Interpretting the signs

Joseph has been doing great with signing some key words. However, what he wants them to mean and what they actually mean aren't always the same thing. Kind of . . but not.

All Done
= I want to get out of this high chair and play
More = sometimes this just means more food . . . right now it means more brownie
Food= well ok, this one pretty much just means food . . . and a lot of it
Please = gimmeee - now - I said please - so gimmeeeeee
Thank You = this one is new so it's still sweet and just means Thank You.

King or . . .

just in need of Momma's headband to keep his hair out of his eyes?

From Mullet to Mohawk . . .

Color me surprised . . .

MyHeritage: Family tree - Genealogy - Celebrity - Collage - Morph

but really . . . . don't we all think he looks more like his daddy?!

At last . . .

after two different antibiotics and a round of shots . . . Joseph's ear infections are "all done." (insert Joseph signing "all done" here - which is exactly what he did when the doctor said his ears were better this morning).
