Oh Christmas Tree. . .

We went and picked up our family Christmas tree on Tuesday evening. Last year we decided we didn't need a tree at our house since we don't actually spend Christmas here. . . and it just didn't feel like the Christmas season. So - now we have our tree. Joseph enjoyed helping pick it out.

Indiana Thanksgiving

I had a very fun Thanksgiving week in Indiana. Here is my list of favorites:

1. wrestling with uncle Jon and cousin Dante
2. uncle Jon holding me upside down while aunt Natalie tickled me
3. playing with Rudy and the cord from aunt Megan's air mattress4. watching my cousins play with Legos (apparently I'm still too little)
5. watching Kimmy play with her dollhouse6. playing with the new John Deere tractor that Grampa got for me

7. being pretty darn cute most of the time
8. being very, very, very, very busy9. never getting burned by the stove because Grampa put up this great fence10. enjoying my first snow (more pictures and video to come)11. taking milk breaks!

We're back . . .

Hey everyone! We're back from enjoying Thanksgiving in Indiana. Sorry for the lack of postings while we were there. . . . we were quite busy! As soon as I get all the pictures sorted I'll post them (there are many). In the meantime . . . .

Sometimes Joseph is quite a challenge. I know - it's hard to believe looking at that sweet face. But he's a little booger. However, during our flight last evening while holding a sweet, sleeping boy and listening to a little girl about 6 rows in front of us screaming the entire way from Indianapolis to Atlanta, I thought . . . . you know, he really is a very easy baby.

Little Drummer Boy

Pre-black eye pics

You should see the other kid!

At lunch yesterday
This morning . . .
looking a little better
The real story - Joseph was running up the aisle at church yesterday morning while Momma & Daddy were practicing with the worship team before church. He tripped over his feet and went eye first into the first step of the stage. Church doctor, Barbara, checked him out and said that beyond the bruising and swelling he's going to be fine. And after some intense crying, our happy boy was in exceptional form the rest of the day.

Lesson: don't run in church!

Latest Discoveries

Unrolling toilet paper - very fun, makes a nice pile on the floor.

Pulling kleenex out of box - similar to unrolling toilet paper.

After wearing socks and shoes all day - taking them off is fun and sometimes I giggle when I see my toes.

Whenever I take a nap the toy fairy comes and cleans up all my toys. I work hard at getting that mess just how I like it. Someday I'll catch her . . .

In other news . . .

Momma & Daddy went all hysterical last evening when I said "aww dun" while making the sign after drinking my milk. I thought it was equally hysterical to give them a blank stare for the next half hour while they foolishly signed and said "all done." Silly parents . . it takes so little . . .
