Little Joe turned 9 months old while we were in Indiana last week. He is a fun, crazy little boy and is discovering new things every day. We don't go in for his doctor appt. for another week so I have no weight/height stats yet but here are a few of his latest accomplishments.
1) Crawling - he crawls everywhere . . . and fast. We've finally had to be diligent about making sure doors and baby gates are closed.
2) Pulling up - he pulls up on the baby gate and tries to push the button that opens it. He also pulls up on the TV and plays with all of those buttons - turning the volume up and down, turning it off. He's also getting the hang of sitting back down gracefully.
3) Walking - ok, he's not really walking yet but he can scoot himself around the coffee table and down the length of the sofa.
4) Talking - "Dada" and "Baba" are still the only recognizable words but he does tell quite a few interesting stories that I'm sure make total sense to him. I'm also pretty sure that there is a hidden "mama" in some of the crying that takes place after head butting the coffee table or floor.
5) Food - Joseph is eating pretty much anything and everything. I've started giving him samples of whatever we're eating as long as it's not too spicy and he loves it.
6) Mirrors - I know most babies love mirrors. . . . . and Joseph goes to great lengths to get in front of one. Note to airport bathrooms - putting a mirror by the changing table is not such a great idea. As soon as I got his diaper off, he flipped himself over and pulled up so he was standing up in front if it .. . no diaper. Fun stuff. Also - this is how we found him in our hotel room one morning -
