Our little princess turned 6 months old yesterday. I can barely believe she has been a part of our family that long. What a little sweetie she is!
Although her well-visit isn't scheduled until the 14th, I took her in this morning because she has a nasty virus and I wanted to make sure there wasn't something else I should be doing for it. She still smiles ear-to-ear despite the coughing/choking and snotty sneezes.
We only got her weight this morning: 16 lbs. 15 oz. - which puts her in the 75th percentile. She is still trailing the boys by about 3 lbs. at this age if memory serves me correctly.
She is sitting at the table and eating 3 meals a day. She has rice cereal in the mornings and evenings. In addition I have made avocados, bananas and sweet potatoes for her. We have also supplemented with a few organic pouches and she has enjoyed all of them. So far she is not a picky eater and actually gets a little perturbed with me if I don't feed her fast enough.
She is working on sitting up but still needs supervision as she gets distracted with grabbing her feet and then plops to the side. She recognizes her family members and rewards us with huge grins and giggles. Her legs are also gaining strength and she will stand up if supported.
She is a sleeping champ (except for her current bouts with coughing which wake her slightly) and goes to bed around 7:30 in the evening and wakes between 7 and 8 in the morning. We are trying to only have her take 2 naps a day but occasionally she sneaks another one in.
And here are pics from our little photo shoot yesterday.
