Summer Vacation - Days 21 - 25

My husband says I'm cheating by doing these 5 days at once.  But to be candid, we've been on vacation.  An actual vacation away from home.  And things started running together.  And so you're getting a huge, long, picture-filled blog post of 5 days of vacation adventures.

Starting with Joseph having a great time at the Adventure Science Center in Nashville, TN.  He especially loved the exhibits about outer space.  He told me that he would like to go into outer space someday.  I said that it would be great to be an astronaut to which he responded, "no, I really just want to be a superhero with the power to fly into outer space."

We also enjoyed the Independence Day holiday with our family. We smoked a pork shoulder and ribs . . .

and cooked up a few side dishes . . .
 along with a patriotic trifle.
The kiddos all displayed their holiday finery.
our future POTUS (or would it be POTUSes? I guess maybe PsOTUS)

 Hugging/fighting . . . it's a toss up but they do love each other.

We also spent a lot of time in the pool trying to keep cool!

And about as much time in the bathtub afterwards.

We also find a great place for the kids to run around, be loud and generally just wear themselves out.

Yay for a great vacation and time spent with siblings, grand parents, aunts, uncles and cousins!  We had a wonderful time and are glad to be safely home.
