Also known as - the day we were supposed to go home.
We got up in the morning and had breakfast and then the boys went swimming in the hotel pool while Mama packed up. And then we got a text that our flight was delayed. And then more texts. More delays. Until the point that, even if we got on our (much later) flight to San Antonio, we would be stuck in Texas for 3 days. Or we could hang out in the San Antonio airport for 3 days hoping for standby. Or we could just stay in San Diego for 3 more days.
We stayed in San Diego . . . and headed to Old Town State Park for lunch.
The boys were thrilled to find a train table inside Geppetto's toy store.
And look at this cool covered wagon!!
We were pretty worn out after the stress of the day and decided to just have dinner in our room that evening. Did I mention we were in the Executive Suite? Living room with fold-out couch and chair, dining room with table for 6, kitchenette and separate spacious bedroom with a crib for the baby. We were so thankful for all the space during our extended stay.
