Summer Vacation - Day 1

Monday was our first official day of summer vacation!  We started off our morning with Stroller Strides and some fun at the playground.  Then the boys "helped" me get groceries.  I heard a lot of this: "I know we're not getting these cookies.  I just wanted you to know that I think they're really yummy."
We also had this conversation as we were walking in:
Joseph: "hey mama!  There is Mr. Steve!"
Me: (seeing longish haired person who looks like no one I know named Steve) "Mr. Steve. . . . from. . . . church?"
Joseph: "no!  From American Idol!!!"
Me: "Steven Tyler???"
Joseph: "yes!  It's really him!"

for the record - it wasn't.

Later in the afternoon while Jacob napped, Joseph and I tackled his very messy room.  The piles of legos was daunting but the dreary, rainy day made it a perfect afternoon to sit and sort and clean everything up.  I'm happy to stay the room is still looking pretty good two days later.
