Our end-of-the-summer vacation was spent in Indiana with the Shetler clan. Christopher took a few day departure (from Indiana and the heat) to attend a conference in Vancouver. On the first day we drove from Little Rock, AR to my sister Megan's home in South Bend, IN. We were barely there for a half hour before Joseph managed to put a good egg-sized knot on his forehead by leaping into the coffee table. After his recovery (thank goodness for bangs), he headed out to Megan & Chris's fabulous back yard playground. We had a very laid back evening with dinner on the kitchen patio. The next morning we got up early and headed to Goshen for breakfast at the County Seat Cafe and then went to the Elkhart County 4-H Fair. This fair is one of the largest county fairs in the US and was always a highlight of our summer. Joseph had fun trailing after daddy, grandpa and uncle Chris while Natalie & I pushed Jacob around in the stroller and ran into some family friends.
